My dream job unfortunately it's crushing i need now any job because I'm 30 years ... good you're enjoying your previous jobs
Since I commute to work, I have to leave the house everyday. For some reason, whenever I see someone actually running to catch a train, "da do run run run run" runs through my mind 😂
Labor and delivery nurse seems like it would be very rewarding!
I have to admit all of my jobs were pretty similar (budget and accounting work) so it would be hard to name a favorite. Dream job? Writing about sex lol.
Although I had more 12 hour days than not, especially in Thailand and Viet Nam, I felt I was making a difference . I was too close to retirement, otherwise I would have joined my entire unit when they deployed to Iraq.
My career job was in the corporate sector. When I was packaged out it included a pension and benefits. I ramped up my volunteering (including the Invictus Games) and joined 2 event staffing companies.
Living alone and in an apartment, plus being retired, I need to get out and be around people for a little bit. Oddly, everyone is cheerful around me.
My favorite job was as a unit clerk in a hospital, mostly the years I worked 2nd shift on an oncology unit. I switched to days just before getting married and ended up on a post-partum floor. I disliked post-partum but it did lead to my last job working for an ob/gyn.
I am doing my favorite job as a occupational therapist. Ergo-Therapist. Nice to hear that you were a nurse.
You know how I ADORE nurses, and I also know the ones that worked labor and delivery are the most cheerful, (almost) always surrounded by good and happy news.
I've really only ever had one full time job, though I worked in many different facets of it. My worst job was as a bus-boy. Crushingly physically exhausting work, and some people are really rude to servers.
You were a nurse? That makes so much sense. I'm still doing my favorite job - playing piano professionally.
Sounds like you had some very interesting jobs hun. I have to say being a bartender was my favorite job, over 20 years. Then my second was being a Answering Service Operator where I got to help many people too it was very rewarding.
I always wanted to be a singer but with kids and life it just didn't come to fruition. I hope your son finds you the right truck for you.
I hope you enjoy a humpilicious hump day...🙂
I've only really had one job and I liked it bar for the administration.
I worked for a global IT hi-tech company during the boom years. That was a lot of fun. It was spread out in this "monster" of a building, on two floors; fifty-foot high plate-glass windows spanning its four-block length. They had plunked "super-comfortable" couches and pool tables in the employee lounge on the second floor, with tiny rooms where you could schedule professional massages — no happy endings, unfortunately.
The cafeteria was huge and served by five different types of food stations: from Asian cuisine to pizza. You could tell how long people had been working there by looking at their waistlines. Lol😲😂
We'd have these "vendor-fares" where companies trying to earn our business would give us reps FREE gadgets, toys and electronic gizmos to try out. And the cash prizes? Not to mention that all 1,500 of us had indoor parking.
To top it off, our Xmas party was held in the Bell Center with ten thousand people flying in from all over the planet. Cool and the Gang played live on stage. Everything about that company was wayyy over the top.
Yep... and then the IT boom went poof... and, well... you can imagine the rest.😶
I have done some sort of sales most of my life from calling directly on customer to owning and running company and to all parts in between. The farm/ranch has been my stress relief. Hope you find you a truck soon....Hugs
