Best of luck for all of that!
Thank you!
If your hubby has blood pressure issues, then he should also buy a monitor (they are pretty inexpensive) and check it at home. Hope the medication change helps!
Thank you, we actually have 2!
Regarding hubby's tiredness & other symptoms: I have had these myself. I am finding that as we get older, we accumulate toxins in our bodies that cause weight and fat gain. Many of these toxins, in addition to things we breathe in the air and chemicals we are exposed to from work, but we are also exposed to lots of anti-nutrients in what is normally thought to be a good diet. That is because just about all produce (veggies and fruit and etc.) have anti-nutrients like oxalates, lectins, gluten, and tons of different anti-nutrients that bind with nutrients that stop us from being able to absorb them. So the trick is to eat food that is dense in nutrients that are satiating and NOT eat anti-nutrient foods that would bind with them. Yes, I mean the ultimate elimination diet - carnivore with sea salt for taste and maybe some added minerals (magnesium, zinc, potassium, iodine). Our bodies need to replenish and heal. You will notice some weight gain & body fat, but once the body recognizes that it has recovered and is healthy again, you will start losing the weight and fat. You may even see a six pack in your abs again. Your body will start using fat for energy and you will heal from so so many auto-immune diseases. Check out all the videos via Dr. Ken Berry on YouTube. There are numerous other doctors that are in the know as well. I know this sounds crazy and may go against what your doctors are saying, but you should check it out. Most doctors know very little about nutrition and do not keep up with new metabolic studies. In regards to the dizzy spells, I found that niacin, the flushing kind, will help. Good luck in your journey. Update: Oh yea, something important: No sugar or carbs/fruit. Glucose (sugar from Carbs) are able to be absorbed directly into the cells while fructose (sugar from fruit) must go through the liver and can cause fatty liver disease. If excess sugar (sugar/carbs) is in your blood, cells will use it first before it uses fat for energy which is what we need to happen in a healthy body. A carnivore diet does just that though dairy can be bad too because of lactose (a type of sugar).
I don't think it's crazy at all! Thank you for your reply! I watch everything that goes in my mouth because of GERD, but Hubby is a big guy who loves meat and potatoes, very few veggies, and no fruit. Ugh! He's addicted to sugar, and basically, the only thing we fight about is what he eats.
He's had a bad year. He got staph and went septic last Fall, emergency open heart surgery when they had complications with pacemaker surgery. In the hospital a month. This was all after knee replacement. Now he needs complete reverse shoulder replacement. The diet is just one thing compared to all the rest.
@luv2suk1966 Wishing you all the best.
Some I have noticed ( on water pills and bp) that the water pills will dehydrate you and summer is bad for that anyway. Extra electrolytes and fluid in general. More than a few drops in my case lol.
That makes a lot of sense!
That new baby is so close I can almost smell their sweet little head I love babies <3
Hugs!!
Right??? I was at their house yesterday and everything is ready for the little guy. Just praying the delivery goes smoothly. At this point, I'll probably just hold him and cry from relief - as soon as I get my hands on him.
Busy times indeed. Best wishes on all of it.
Thank you, Cleavage!!!
FYI. I have low blood pressure. On hot days when I sweat a lot I have symptoms similar to your description. I find drinking gatorade prevents the symptoms for me. That is just me. It is possible that the meds he is taking are taking the pressure too low?????
Yep! They lowered one of the BP meds, might take a few days to even out. He drinks Gatorade all the time, but if too much, he has stomach issues.
Wishing all goes well this week and yes tonight is sweetcorn.. have a fun week also
Thank you so much!
Corn 🌽 Cobs, Awsome... Instead of just butter, or garlic butter, try Garlic,Dijon Mustard,Butter... 😋 I do that with mashed potato aswell. It is delicious... you can also use minced ginger, garlic and butter
I have GERD, so I have to watch my spices. Hubby keeps the cajun seasonings on the table for his corn and EVERYTHING else!
@luv2suk1966 I'll try to remember that if I give any recipe ideas !!!
HAVE FUN!!! 😊😁👍
Thanks, we will!!
I hope Friday goes well and your son feels better soon.
Thank you! I don't have a son...my husband is the one that's been having a rough year.
@luv2suk1966 My apologies.
