recovery is still going slow.
I went to my orthopedist and and found out that my neck and shoulders are ate with arthritis. I don't know if it's from the former implants or just wear and tear on my body. We will never know. I did not know I had arthritis. It explains a lot on how my recovery is going and why my arms feel like lead. It's in my shoulders as well. But I will just have to bear with it. I'm not having other pain. I'm on muscle relaxers and a steroid to take down the inflammation.
But I miss music. I was recently invited to see some music at a couple that I know from my previous Rockboat cruises. I'm very excited about it because it will be a small intimate gathering of music friends.. It's in about a month and I will be amongst FRamily.
I haven't been able to get out much in the last few months because of the holidays and the surgery right after the holidays and now the healing time. I'm healed enough to drive so I'm OK with going.
I'm just so darn excited to be able to see live music again. The band is called the currys. They are from Virginia. They consist of two brothers and their cousin. I've seen them before and other music venues and it's been a long time. I'm taking my BFF gay BF with me. It's a fellow I've known since 1985 we've been friends through thick and thin, any recently moved back to the area, and since all of my other friends have moved away from me, he's made my life less lonely.

I'm very glad you're seeing some live music again because I know music means a lot to you.
Arthritis happens, and all of the time. We are not supposed to talk about it. So many of us will experience arthritis in middle age that we collectively deny it ! 😎
