This is my contribution to the New Virtual Symposium's mid-month challenge - see Mid-Month Challenge 2.
Luck is, according to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, "to prosper or succeed especially through chance or good fortune". Though not denying that luck, whether good or bad fortune, can happen by random chance, I'm sceptical that luck is as widespread as many seemingly believe.
For example, a person struck by lightning while sheltering under a tree can be regarded as unlucky but that person stood underneath a tree thus increasing their chances of being hit by lightning.
For bad luck, I was burgled and a big mess was made in my home. Having tidied up, I left the house for lunch at a local café. On returning home, I discovered I had been burgled again. But the night before I had left my wallet in a pub. My wallet contained my house keys and my address. My bad luck wasn't random.
For good luck, I used to print out profiles of couples on this site with a view of arranging a meet. Normally, the profile would be printed out on my printer in my own office. But one time a profile got printed out in the administrative office, a shared office. One administrator was disgusted at the profile and reported the matter to the Head of School, who promised to investigate the matter. My then partner who worked in the administrative office managed to persuade the Head of School that it was her, during her lunch break, and not me who printed out the profile. I'm not sure this was good luck but more an act of stupidity on my behalf.
PS. Having counted the number of words myself, this post is 274 words long, excluding the title and this postscript. My wordcounter stated it was 199 words long. Now that's luck!

My good luck usually comes unexpectedly. When I try too hard it usually doesn’t. 🍀
It's like trying to something mislaid. Sometimes it's easier to find it without looking.
Editor’s note - you could have shortened the piece by leaving out “this is my contribution” (because that’s self evident) and also by leaving out the Merriam Webster definition. Although even those two edits wouldn’t get it down to 200 words!
I realised an edit cutting the odd word out wouldn't get me anywhere near the 200-word target, so I didn't bother. Instead I decided to face the wrath of the group's moderator!
First robbery was bad luck, second robbery not so much. Your good luck was actually wisdom in choosing a good partner!

Blog land and the site is a mess once again, I deleted my blog from yesterday as for some reason the videos would not show up.
The site is being very slow for me.
It is said that for some...if I had no bad luck I'd have no luck at all.
As for the clip of the line from the movie "Dirty Harry", it was my favorite growing up. As a teenager, I loved that movie. After growing up and learning more about the actor and his view of things, I am not a big fan of his anymore. Although I still love that scene. Sometimes when you take a peek behind the curtain, things don't look the same and you'd have preferred to never had looked.
My view of Clint Eastwood has mirrored your journey.
Oh my god that clip! When I was growing up, we had only two TV channels in my small town. On Saturday night at 6 pm the choices were Hee Haw or the Lawrence Welk show! Now that was bad luck, lol.

Yes, being robbed twice in a row is bad luck… until you discovered why... Then you might have even thought you deserved it! Sending a photo or anything else to print on the wrong printer is always nerve-wracking… just like sending an inappropriate email to the wrong address. 😃 Those are things that can’t be undone! Thankfully, WhatsApp messages can be deleted if you realize with horror that you’ve made a mistake… I’ve been there!
I was stupid on both occasions. Lessons learnt!
@spunkycumfun Nah! you are not stupid, the other guy was a thief. 99% of people are honest and would have made sure you got your keys and documents.
As for the printer, you know what they say: "sh+t happens," or in French, which sounds a bit classier, "c’est la vie"
