I thought that the 200-word limit would be too challenging for you 😂
It was a cruelly and needlessly imposed limit!
I do believe your naughtiness is what brings you bad luck and probably some fun luck too lol!
I must try harder!
My good luck usually comes unexpectedly. When I try too hard it usually doesn’t. 🍀
It's like trying to something mislaid. Sometimes it's easier to find it without looking.
Editor’s note - you could have shortened the piece by leaving out “this is my contribution” (because that’s self evident) and also by leaving out the Merriam Webster definition. Although even those two edits wouldn’t get it down to 200 words!
I realised an edit cutting the odd word out wouldn't get me anywhere near the 200-word target, so I didn't bother. Instead I decided to face the wrath of the group's moderator!
First robbery was bad luck, second robbery not so much. Your good luck was actually wisdom in choosing a good partner!
(260 words - excluding the title, both memes, the preface, the post-script, and counting Merriam-Webster as one word)
260 words? I hope that's within the New Virtual Symposium group's tolerance limits!
@spunkycumfun the group's tolerance is quite high.
@superbjversion2 That's good to hear!
Sorry that happened to you my friend and this is a great contribution to the Symposium. I hope your enjoying a wonderful weekend.
Blog land and the site is a mess once again, I deleted my blog from yesterday as for some reason the videos would not show up.
The site is being very slow for me.
It is said that for some...if I had no bad luck I'd have no luck at all.
As for the clip of the line from the movie "Dirty Harry", it was my favorite growing up. As a teenager, I loved that movie. After growing up and learning more about the actor and his view of things, I am not a big fan of his anymore. Although I still love that scene. Sometimes when you take a peek behind the curtain, things don't look the same and you'd have preferred to never had looked.
My view of Clint Eastwood has mirrored your journey.
Oh my god that clip! When I was growing up, we had only two TV channels in my small town. On Saturday night at 6 pm the choices were Hee Haw or the Lawrence Welk show! Now that was bad luck, lol.
@smartasswoman My dad would make us watch it too.
Some say you make your own luck. Might be via preparation, or stupidity.
I can't help but think @superbjversion2 had you in mind when setting the 200 word limit. All inclusive text (not words on memes), as it should be, my word processor is showing 316 words.
It was a cruel limit!
I did ... which is why I didn't make it 100.
@spunkycumfun It wouldn't be a challenge then
@superbjversion2 It was a challenge and I tried hard to rise to the challenge. I beg your forgiveness!
@spunkycumfun I was going to go for 100 words, at first. I'll build up to that one!
@superbjversion2 We want the Hemingway Challenge!
Story in six words like "For sale: baby shoes, never worn." (though there is now debate that he actually wrote that).
@CleavageFan4U Thanks for the idea!!
@superbjversion2 100 words? Now that's going to be a tough challenge. I need to start practicing!
Having your keys and address, are they burglars or uninvited guests, they should have at least left you a bottle of wine
A bottle of wine would have been a nice gesture!
Yes, being robbed twice in a row is bad luck… until you discovered why... Then you might have even thought you deserved it! Sending a photo or anything else to print on the wrong printer is always nerve-wracking… just like sending an inappropriate email to the wrong address. 😃 Those are things that can’t be undone! Thankfully, WhatsApp messages can be deleted if you realize with horror that you’ve made a mistake… I’ve been there!
I was stupid on both occasions. Lessons learnt!
@spunkycumfun Nah! you are not stupid, the other guy was a thief. 99% of people are honest and would have made sure you got your keys and documents.
As for the printer, you know what they say: "sh+t happens," or in French, which sounds a bit classier, "c’est la vie"
@AuraAviatik6 The French saying sounds much classier to excuse my stupidity!
